Objectives
Objectives
The principal objective of the Trust is:
The advancement, education, assistance and promotion of sustainable environmental management of land and other natural resources on farms within New Zealand
It is the Board’s intention to continue the multi-pronged approach to achieving its objects by:
Developing and expanding the regional Ballance Farm Environment Awards throughout New Zealand.
Establishing and delivering nationwide learning networks and events designed to draw on a broad range of good practice methods from BFEA entrants.
Encouraging take-up and integration of these as a “whole-farm” approach to the sustainable environmental management of land and other natural resources on New Zealand farms
Running an annual national Showcase of examples of Whole of Farm Sustainability and BFEA supreme winners.
